Nothing goes better with summer weather than a tall glass of iced tea, especially if you're from the South and it's sweeter than honey and thick as molasses. Living in Florida, however, we aren't as Southern as some of our northern neighbors--well, we're southern, just not Southern. But that doesn't mean we can't celebrate National Iced Tea Day tomorrow. So in honor of this midweek holiday, we're prepping our ingredients a day early--it's never too soon to start planning. Here's what you'll need to add a little Florida charm to your iced tea party.
Florida Iced Tea
- 3/4 oz V5 Vodka
- 3/4 oz Palms White Rum
- 3/4 oz Hendrick's Gin
- 3/4 oz triple sec
- 1 splash Sprite
- Orange juice (fresh squeezed from Florida oranges is better, of course)
Combine vodka, rum, gin and triple sec in a highball glass filled with ice. Stir and fill the rest of the glass with orange juice, leaving enough room for a splash of Sprite.
Enjoy under palm trees, on a beach, next to your pool or watching thunderstorms ('tis the season after all).
