Florida Beer Friday: Barrel of Monks Abbey Terno

I'm not an experienced dubbel drinker, I'm more of a tripel drinker. I enjoy the heavier but not thick drinking beers like you find in a stout, but this beer from Barrel of Monks Brewing in Boca Raton, Florida, is a lighter but just as tasty version of a tripel.

With it's medium brown pour, Abbey Terno fills your mouth with a complex mixture of flavors that blend well together. Starting with a creamy texture of malt, toffee and spice, you are then enjoying the flavor of light berries and a dry finish. This is good as you are wanting more to get the cream feel again. With an ABV of 7.5%, drink this slowly and enjoy what the monks of old enjoyed for so many years.
