If stopping by the wine shop is one of the more apprehensive errands of your Wednesday grind, let us brighten the idea with two words: wine taps.
We get that shopping for wine can be a little overwhelming (or underwhelming, depending where you shop), so we’ve created a way for you to sip, swirl and savor your way through the last errand of the day. Waiting just for you, in your closest ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, is a little treasure trove of expert-selected, Sommelier-adored, chilled and ready-to-pour vino.
It’s our way of helping you make better decisions and get you closer to finding a new favorite faster than taking the bottle home. It also means you’ll never have to wonder if that bottle is worth it because you’ll already know.
Each month we rotate new bottles. September features three newer wines to our ever-expanding portfolio.
One of the best things about them is that they’re part of our . This special line of wines (and spirits) are purchased directly from the maker or distiller at a lower price to save you money. Every bottle in this collection is sourced and certified by an ABC team of wine and spirits experts that have been traveling the world for decades to find unique, quality products in a range of prices for our guests. Our team can go directly to the source for these products because of the strong relationships we've built with wine makers and distillers for more than 80 years. We’re currently pairing these bottles with football Sundays, fall dinner parties and streaming-movie marathons. Pick one or three, but make sure you don’t miss what’s on tap this month!
This Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina, is a silky treat. With delicate aromas and flavors of black fruits, black pepper and tangerine, it balances great fruit with bright acidity and a minerally finish. Pair with BBQ, smoked meats and tapas.
Côtes du Rhône is known for their sun-drenched vineyards, producing red blends that lead with Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. This wine is a prime example of the region, with a fruity and subtly spicy entry, riding a current of liquorice. It’s body and flavors are full and generous, with the finesse of the tannins accompanied by notes of undergrowth. You’ll want this red next to a steak, but especially with anything lamb.
Mosel-produced Riesling charms with characteristic stone fruit and a harmonious acid/sweet combo. This juice boasts hints of lime, apricots and citrus fruit. It’s sweet, but crisp, making a well-suited match with Thai food and stir fries, but also with seafood and spicy cuisine.
