Cuttings Red

In Wine, Red Wines

This is the third installment of a five part series on The Prisoner Wine Company.

Cuttings RedThis line of California wine blends grapes sourced from the best growers across the state. Each wine in this series of five is designed by a team of experienced winemakers who are devoted to creating distinct bottlings that are “thought provoking and approachable.” In other words, they’re just the wines you need to explore when you’re ready for something new. Today we offer the third wine, Cuttings Red Blend.

The label is a nod to the practice of using cuttings to propagate new vines, and the wine inside is Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from hillside vineyards in Napa Valley, Sonoma and Red Hills for depth and complexity. Black cherry and roasted herbs evolve into ripe, dark fruit, espresso, currant and spice. Complex tannins and a delicate finish round out this elegant, dark Cabernet. Serve this with herbed lamb or barbecue. With its robust flavor and refined structure, this Cabernet is a steal at $52.99.

All five wines can be found at select ABC Fine Wine & Spirits retailers throughout Florida, as well as online at abcfws.com.
